Archdiocesan Safeguarding Policy

The Archdiocesan Safeguarding Policy for all parishes and communities is entirely derived from our partnered organisation, thirtyone:eight, a national charity with a Christian ethos.

Each parish has a Local Safeguarding Representative who can be contacted with any concerns that members of the parish my have in relation to safeguarding. Contact Fr Mark (above) for their details. All the clergy and eligible church workers have been DBS checked to ensure that they have the necessary safeguarding clearance. They have also received appropriate training in best Safeguarding practice.

Please note that the Archdiocesan Safeguarding Policy policy cannot be used outside of the Antiochian Orthodox Christian Archdiocese of the British Isles and Ireland. Other organisations outside our Archdiocese need to design their own policies and take responsibility for the fitness of those policies themselves. We do not take any responsibility for any safeguarding issues arising from an illicit use of this policy by other organisations contrary to this instruction.
